Giving Today, Growing Tomorrow, Gifting Hope Together

Every year charitable organizations and community groups request fruit and nut trees to plant to help alleviate hunger.

This year we have partnered with Convoy of Hope whose mission is to feed the world through children’s feeding initiatives, community outreach and restorative disaster response.

Convoy connects with communities in need by working in conjunction with local churches, businesses, civic organizations and governmental agencies across America and around the world.  

They help to feed the hungry, restore and rebuild food systems ravaged by disaster and work with underserved communities to establish and maintain community orchards and gardens that provide access to healthy, fresh fruits and vegetables.

The Burchell Give & Grow Hope Foundation has provided 5,897 trees in the first quarter of 2026 to Convoy of Hope who have delivered a number of trees to cities in California including 2,600 trees to the City of Commerce, 1,500 trees to Orland, and 300 trees to Modesto.  Convoy of Hope trucked an additional 1,497 trees to Springfield, Missouri with plans for additional tree distributions across the country through the end of 2026.

Gifting trees that can nourish communities with food that they grow themselves ultimately can help to break the cycle of hunger, improve the health of kids, families, seniors and the unhoused and give hope to those who are looking for a better tomorrow.

Since 1942 the Burchell Nursery has bred fruit and nut trees that have helped to feed people around

the world.  We are continually striving to introduce new varieties that help our farmers to be more productive and that protect our environment.
